There was a recall on the dryer two months later, so it could have been an electrical fire, easy: there's plenty of accelerants that are common enough around the house, turpentine, butane, kerosene. The furniture in the den that collapsed into the basement was mostly wicker with foam cushions. Almost as good as gasoline.
